THE SPOTTED LAND, the Mara

There is a place where the sunrise is as graceful as unfolding the wings of a butterfly. Gently rises the sun over the landscape, greets the soft skylines of the mountains, the acacia forest, and the grassland and toss the River Mara with gentle silver sparkling ray.

This is the land where the herds of elephants feed of the acacia trees, the wildebeests grass on the savanna, where the rarely seen rhino hides in the bushes at the foot of the mountains and where the leopard hide their pray in the shadow of the trees down at the river bank. This is the land of migration between the Mara and Serengeti. Thousands and thousands of wildebeests and zebras migrate twice a year to eat the rich grass on both sides. A spectacular scenery if you get a chance to see it. This is the land of the magnificent lions and illusive cheetahs. This is the land of so many other species.

This is the where the stars shine brighter and the Milky Way is more profound on the black velvet sky at night than anywhere else. Surrounded by stars you will hear the symphony of the croaking frogs, the roaring of lions and the laughing sound of the hyenas. This is the land where no man is greater than nature, and where you will find the purity of wilderness.

This is also the land of the Maasai people with their ancient history. This film aims to bring some better understanding of the reality of the Maasai people and the challenges they are facing in the transition between traditions and modern life and how we can help support and contribute to a sustainable environment and everyday life for the Maasai people, especially for their children.

Many before us have engaged themselves in donation programs and different support project in the area and they share our ambition to support and help the Maasai villages and their inhabitants. We are not a big organization or have the great assets to help everyone. We do this because we have fallen in love with the Mara and its people. But it is also because we believe in the power of education and the opportunities that this entails. We have a sincere belief that with educational means, we prevent hostility and conflict of interest and ultimately prevent war and conflicts between people. It also prevent poverty, starvation, child abuse, early marriages and it support self-preservation and the explorations of new opportunities for the people of the Mara and also in other areas of the world.

We hope, by showing this film that you can open your hearts and help us contribute to our first two projects in the Mara area. The first one, is to pay individual school fees to children of families in need and the second one is to support the Entumoto Camp’s funding of the household secondary school for girls in Siana. Indirectly your contributions will also help the preservation of the wild life in the Mara area.

Sponsoring individual students

Bridge 2 future foundation will through donations to individual children encourage education and schooling for them with little means and in need of financial support to complete their schooling.

Project we have sponsored so far and current projects

Through close cooperation with Entumoto Tented Safari Camp, who have sponsored and built a kitchen and canteen for the Siana Boarding School for Girls, we participated in sponsoring two cookers, kitchen fixtures and furniture for the canteen.

Future projects and how to engage

We are a little organization with the desire to focus on one area at the time. We have to make sure we have financial means to continue the school fee sponsorship of the children that we are currently are supporting.
