Our vision
By encouraging education and schooling for girls and boys and by supporting local schools to accommodate students with necessities, such as class rooms, equipment, books, beds, kitchen etc. We help children and the local society to bridge in to a better future. Ultimately, we also support world peace, gender equality, human rights and a sustainable life for individual children and their families.
PROJECTS:
THE SPOTTED LAND, the Mara
There is a place where the sunrise is as graceful as unfolding the wings of a butterfly. Gently rises the sun over the landscape, greets the soft skylines of the mountains, the acacia forest, and the grassland and toss the River Mara with gentle silver sparkling ray.
We hope, by showing this film that you can open your hearts and help us contribute to our first two projects in the Mara area. The first one, is to pay individual school fees to children of families in need and the second one is to support the Entumoto Camp’s funding of the household secondary school for girls in Siana. Indirectly your contributions will also help the preservation of the wild life in the Mara area.
The Organization
The foundation is governed by its founders (the Board), Kajsa von Geijer, Fredrik von Geijer, Ellen von Geijer and Nima Gassemlo. The board can decide to utilize others to support and facilitate donations locally, projects or events. The founders have committed to each year contribute to the fund minimum SEK 120,000 per year. This is the base of the funding but can be extended via fund raising events, individual contributions and other gifts. The financial assets should be invested with a medium risk profile.
Sponsoring individual students
Bridge 2 future foundation will through donations to individual children encourage education and schooling for them with little means and in need of financial support to complete their schooling.
Project we have sponsored so far and current projects
Through close cooperation with Entumoto Tented Safari Camp, who have sponsored and built a kitchen and canteen for the Siana Boarding School for Girls, we participated in sponsoring two cookers, kitchen fixtures and furniture for the canteen.
Future projects and how to engage
We are a little organization with the desire to focus on one area at the time. We have to make sure we have financial means to continue the school fee sponsorship of the children that we are currently are supporting.
